Your health and social care champion
By gathering and sharing your experiences of care with NHS leaders and decision makers, we can use your feedback to help improve services.
At a time when our NHS and care services remain under huge pressure and the difficulties people are having booking a GP appointment or finding an NHS dentist continue, our role in getting the voice of patients heard is more important than ever.
In particular, we try to reach communities that are less heard from and help tell their stories. Our ‘Tackling Health Inequalities’ report, mentioned in our Annual Report, is an example of how we can achieve this aim.
More than 2,000 people have contacted us this year to share their experiences of care or seek advice from our Information and Signposting team.
It’s great to know that so many people see us as a trusted source of information and advice, and as a means to get their voice heard. We want to thank everyone who has contacted us this year. Our focus is to encourage even more people to get in touch with us so that we can continue telling local service leaders what is working well and highlight where there needs to be improvement. So please keep talking to us!
Listening to you
Our Annual Report illustrates some of the ways in which we have helped influence improvements in health and care services over the past 12 months, including calling for better palliative and end of life care, and campaigning to ensure services provide information in a way that people understand.
