Volunteer for us and help improve health and care services for local people.
We are looking for volunteers to help us listen to the experiences of local people and understand what care is like for them -- especially those whose voices aren’t always heard.
As a Healthwatch volunteer, you'll get to meet new people and develop skills and insights into health and care services.
We offer full training and support all backed by our new Investing in Volunteers UK quality standard for good practice in volunteer management.
Hear First-Hand Experiences from Healthwatch Volunteers
Wondering what it’s like to be part of our team? We invite you to listen to our Volunteering podcast episode, where our dedicated volunteers share their personal experiences and stories.
Join us as a Community Listener
As a Community Listener volunteer, you'll help us find out what the people in your community think about the health and care services they use.
Your experience, skills and enthusiasm will help make sure people have a say on vital services - and that their voices get heard by decision-makers.
We will give you training and support in your volunteer role, as well as paying agreed out of pocket expenses.
Join us as a Community Researcher
As a Healthwatch Community Researcher, you will talk to local people about services, including those provided by hospitals located in the areas covered by the project, and help organisations work better together for people.
Become a Healthwatch Representation Volunteer
The Representation Volunteer role involves attending Integrated Neighbourhood meetings on behalf of Healthwatch, helping people to understand the role of our organisation and collecting information from these meetings to feed back to our team. You will be the eyes and ears and represent the patient voice of people in your community, helping to relate their experiences.
