Healthwatch report makes recommendations following Enter & View visits to local Eye Clinics
Healthwatch Cambridgeshire and Peterborough has published a report into the services provided at eye clinics based at local hospitals.
A team of Healthwatch staff and volunteers recently conducted a series of Enter & View visits to three clinics based across two local health Trusts:
- Sunflower Eye Clinic at Hinchingbrooke Hospital, Huntingdon
- Clinic 14 at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge
- Eye Clinic at Peterborough City Hospital, Peterborough
The purpose of these visits was to talk to patients and gain a greater understanding of their experiences of the services that the clinics provide, identify what is working well and what improvements could be made.
In each location, we spoke patients and visitors about their care, using a survey to guide and log our findings.
Following the visits, our team has produced a report including recommendations which has been fed back to the Trusts that manage the eye clinics we attended. A copy of this report is published on our websites and can be downloaded via the link below.
